The “e-GS” Online Guidance Services is a two-year strategic partnership for school education to address some of the negative effects of the COVID-19 Pandemic on 14-18 years old secondary school students by creating an online guidance services platform with the cooperation of schools, university and guidance and research center from Turkey, Ireland, Belgium, Spain and Portugal.
The “e-GS” project was developed based on the idea that each student is unique. It aims to support the student in their journey to understanding themselves as a learner at a pace that is appropriate to their own needs. It is an internet-based guidance counselling service that aims to provide pedagogical support to the individual by enabling them to discover the elements that are often overlooked such as time management, goal setting, decision making and self-regulation; academic self-evaluation, motivation and anxiety; thinking and learning styles. The platform enables Guidance Cousellors to identify students that may be struggling in a specific area and help them address it.
